| Barclaycard
ask Rackline to take the credit
Up against stiff competition, Rackline’s experience in the
Banking Sector helped secure an order to install a mobile storage
system at Barclaycard’s HQ at Brackmills, Northampton.
As part of the new Barclaycard facility adjacent to their HQ, a
strongroom has been built to hold more than 4 million pre-processed
credit cards.
Rackline, in conjunction with Interserve, one of the UK’s
leading project services group, were asked to design a storage system
to securely contain the credit cards.
The Multitrak system was installed with an infill floor to the entire
room which was integrated into the Builders programme for floor
finishes.
Each shelf had to hold 250kgs in weight and each bay had to be lockable.
Example of a Rackline Multitrak mobile shelving system.
Rackline technical drawings provide great detail and clarity of
the proposed installation. They are now available in ‘virtual
reality’ format allowing a ‘walk through’ of the
room and the storage system from virtually any angle or aspect.
Rackline has considerable experience in providing storage installations
to the Financial Sector. Satisfied clients include:
• American Express
• Capital One
• Chase Manhattan
• HSBC Lloyds
• TSB
• MBNA
• Natwest
• Prudential
• RBOS
• Standard Life
• Yorkshire Bank
